Connecting with God - Connecting with People

The heart of this statement is simple. We are to “influence all people to become mature followers of Jesus” and to see that every man, woman, and child of Galveston has an opportunity to hear the good news about Jesus.

We each have a set of people that we come in contact with on a regular basis. These people form our sphere of influence. As we connect with them, our task is to influence them to become more mature followers of Jesus. For each person maturity will look a little different. Some will move from atheist to deist, others from believer to pastor. Wherever one is on the path of faith, we strive to help move each other one step closer to a fully devoted disciple of Jesus. No matter what task we choose to do as a church, we will always ask if it helps us fulfill the mission of influencing people to become mature followers of Jesus.
